This time, we sold the titanium sponge substitute that we are recycling to overseas steelmakers. We sell this recycled material to domestic steelmakers, but it is not used much in Korea because the technology to handle the recycled material is still insufficient.

Our technology is already recognized overseas and supplied to global steelmakers, but unfortunately, due to the lack of awareness of scrap recycling in Korea, it is not used much. This is very unfortunate, and I think it is also very contrary to the ESG management that steelmakers such as POSCO, Hyundai Steel, and Dongkuk Steel are calling for, because in fact, steelmakers are importing titanium sponges from Russia or titanium sponges from China due to the awareness of recycled materials.

We do not know why they are importing from overseas even though there is a company that recycles titanium sponge substitutes in Korea, but we believe that the day will come when steelmakers will definitely use recycled raw materials in order to fulfill ESG management, and we hope that those who are in charge of purchasing at domestic steelmakers such as POSCO, Hyundai Steel, and Dongkuk Steel will feel free to contact us.
