The scrap metal we purchased this time is titanium scrap coated with iridium (Ir). Our company possesses the technology to recover iridium from titanium mesh and is currently recovering iridium powder using this technology. Iridium is widely used as a catalyst in hydrogen generation and chemical plants, and it is mainly generated by Lotte Chemical, LG Chem, Hanwha Solutions, and Kumho Petrochemical.

However, these petrochemical companies are simply selling titanium mesh scrap generated during chemical production because they do not know of any domestic recycling companies that can recycle it.
