What is Titanium CP?

Titanium CP (Commercially Pure) refers to unalloyed titanium with a purity of 99% or more. It includes Grades 1 through 4, depending on strength. Unlike titanium alloys, CP titanium contains no added elements and is made directly from refined raw titanium.

This material is essential in producing titanium sponge substitutes, one of our core products. We actively purchase CP titanium scrap from both domestic and international sources.


Why Titanium CP Scrap Matters

Titanium tube scrap, usually Grade 1 or Grade 2, is a primary input for producing titanium sponge substitutes. In Korea, titanium sponge is widely used as an alloying material. As such, recycling CP titanium is crucial for sustainability and material independence.

Our Recycling Process

To recycle titanium scrap effectively, we follow a precise process:

  • Composition Analysis – Each scrap batch is tested for its chemical makeup.

  • Cutting and Sorting – The scrap is resized and sorted by grade and usage.

  • Surface Treatment – Final processing turns it into a usable raw material.

These recycled materials are then supplied to alloy manufacturers and steelmakers.


Meeting Korea’s Material Demands

As Korea ramps up titanium-based material development, scrap generation is also rising. Our sponge substitutes offer several benefits:
