What Is Inconel 939?

Inconel 939 is a superalloy containing over 50% nickel (Ni) and alloyed with chromium (Cr), cobalt (Co), molybdenum (Mo), tungsten (W), titanium (Ti), aluminum (Al), and tantalum (Ta). This composition enables:

- Excellent creep strength at 800–1000°C

- Outstanding oxidation resistance

- Superior structural stability under stress

These properties make it ideal for turbine blades, combustion components, and diffusers in gas turbines and aircraft engines.


Advanced Strength Through Gamma Prime Precipitation

Inconel 939 achieves its high-temperature strength through gamma-prime precipitation strengthening, allowing it to maintain mechanical integrity even under prolonged high heat and stress. Precision Manufacturing with VM and VAR

To ensure high purity and uniform microstructure, Inconel 939 is melted using:

- Vacuum Melting (VM)

- Vacuum Arc Remelting (VAR)

These processes reduce impurities such as oxygen, sulfur, and phosphorus. They are critical for parts used in aero-engines, where reliability and safety are paramount.
