We specialize in recycling titanium sponge and producing titanium cobble, a high-purity titanium substitute derived from scrap. These materials are supplied to domestic and international steelmakers, as well as research institutes. What is Titanium Cobble?

Titanium cobble is a recycled material that mimics the purity, shape, and application of titanium sponge. Made through physical processing of titanium scrap, it serves as a cost-effective and eco-friendly alternative. For example, our Ti Gr.1 cobble is manufactured entirely from 100% titanium heat exchanger sheet scrap, ensuring consistent grade-specific quality.


Recycled Materials, High-Performance Solutions

Dong-A Special Metals uses advanced dry-method recycling, holding a patent for producing titanium cobble via physical shredding of titanium alloy scrap. We’ve also developed plasma arc melting (PAM) equipment to refine ingots and produce wire rods, bars, and aviation-grade materials.


Expansion into Aviation and High-Performance Alloys

We’ve successfully entered the aviation parts sector, using high-purity titanium ingots to produce aviation fasteners such as bolts. These fasteners must withstand high temperatures and vibrations, making titanium an ideal material.


In addition to titanium, we also recycle and refine nickel-based superalloys and zirconium ingots. We are currently in negotiation with U.S. nuclear power companies for zirconium supply, thanks to our advanced refining technology.
